Ice Cream Social and Walworth County Militia

On July 9, the Walworth County Historical Society will be holding its annual ice cream social and a special presentation of the Walworth County Militia of 1842.

The ice cream social runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00.

The program begins at 2:00 and will feature many outstanding facts and stories of our earliest band of soldiers. Mike Wozny, Vice President of the WCHS is a Civil War historian and will be our presenter. He is also a member of Grand Army of the Republic Post 8, a replicated group from the Soldier’s Home in Milwaukee, WI.

Both events will be held on the Webster House Grounds at the corner of S. Washington and E. Rockwell streets. These events are free and open to the public.
